On February 8, 2019, RocketSnail and Screenzilla Entertainment has opened up the first ever experiment of Box Critters! Just make an account and start testing!
Currently, there is one room. You are a hamster hanging out with other hamsters in one room, a pirate ship restaurant. You can hop/move around the room and chat with players. There isn’t any music in the game, thus far.
Click here to access the login page where you can create an account, log in, and play!
Here is the login prompt where you have a few options: login, create an account, or lost your password.
If you already created a Box Critters account, just enter your email and password.
Otherwise, just create an account. Some important information from this page: Only make an account if you are at least 13 years old. And while RocketSnail formulated the Box Critters idea, Screenzilla Entertainment, the publishers of games such as Epic Snails, also published Box Critters. Kudos to both of them!
Enter a nickname that will appear with your hamster avatar, an email, and password.
If you forgot your password, just enter the email associated with your account.
Once you log in, you are immediately taken to the Box Critters room. Type a message in the white rectangle along the bottom of the screen and press “Send” to chat with other players.
In the screenshot below, I typed the message starting with “the artwork was…”.
- This game is fully playable on a browser on your computer or your mobile device. So yes, you can send emojis, too!
- There is a chat filter already implemented. It is provided by a company called Community Sift.
Have fun meeting new players and testing RocketSnail and Screenzilla’s new experiment! They are already working on the second experiment so stay tuned.
